Adopt a Cat – Change a Life!

Welcome to R3 Feral Cat Rescue Inc., a registered nonprofit cat rescue based in Hermitage, PA (16148). Our mission is to help every cat—feral, semi-feral, or friendly—find a safe, loving forever home.

All of our adoptable cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and health-checked prior to adoption. Adoption fees are $20 per cat or 2-for-1 ($20 total) for bonded pairs—because best friends deserve to stay together!

An adoption application is required for all placements. This allows us to match each cat with the right home based on personality, lifestyle, and special needs, particularly for cats transitioning from outdoor or feral life.

Some cats are ready to settle into home life immediately, while others—especially former feral cats—may need extra time, patience, and a calm environment. We provide guidance, tips, and resources to support a smooth adjustment for both cat and adopter.

Important Legal & Adoption Information:

  • Adoption fees are nonrefundable.

  • Cats remain the property of R3 Feral Cat Rescue Inc. until the adoption application is approved and the adoption contract is signed.

  • Adopters must be 18 years or older and provide valid identification.

  • Cats are adopted “as is”, with no guarantees beyond medical care provided while in our rescue. Any known medical conditions or behavioral traits will be disclosed.

  • We reserve the right to decline any adoption application for the safety and well-being of the cat.

  • All adopters are required to provide a safe, indoor environment unless otherwise agreed upon in writing for special cases.

  • Adoption agreements must be honored, and cats may be reclaimed by R3 Feral Cat Rescue if terms are violated.

Anomaly

Age: ~3+ years Sex: Spayed Female

Tabby Polydactyl (extra toes = extra special!)

About:
Anomaly truly lives up to her name — one of a kind in every way. Rescued from a highway while pregnant, she climbed right into the car and purred the whole ride home. The next morning, she gave birth and became a loving, fierce mama — even nursing orphaned kittens as her own.

Now it’s her turn to be cared for. She’s smart, vocal, and full of personality — part best friend, part bodyguard, part comedian. She loves attention, leash walks, and rolling in the sunshine. Once she trusts you, she’s a loyal lap companion who’ll make you laugh every day.

Home Needs:
Anomaly thrives in a calm, structured home where she can be the star. Best as an only pet or with mellow cats. Prefers no dogs or only very calm ones.

Ozzy Osbourne:

Age: 1.5 year Sex: Neutered Male

Dark Short Hair Tabby

Bonded with: Lennon

About:

Ozzy is the brave, outgoing sibling of the duo—and the one who paved the way for Lennon to feel safe and confident. Playful, affectionate, and endlessly curious, he’s the first to explore, the first to greet new friends, and the one who makes every day an adventure. He loves toys (especially crinkle balls and feathers), rolling in catnip, and high-up spots for bird-watching. Ozzy is completely social, enjoys being picked up, and gets along beautifully with dogs and other friendly pets.

Home Needs:

While he’d thrive in almost any home thanks to his big personality, Ozzy is happiest with Lennon by his side. He’s a born leader, loyal brother, and a furry little cheerleader who helps Lennon blossom.

Pepper

Age: 1 year Sex: Spayed Female

Domestic Short Hair; Tortoiseshell

About:

Pepper is a young mama who has survived a harsh environment and come out the other side stronger, wiser, and ready for a life that’s finally about her. After tragically losing her babies to the conditions she was rescued from, Pepper learned to rely on herself—but she never lost her capacity to love people.

True to her tortie nature, Pepper has a bold personality and knows exactly what she wants. She’s affectionate, expressive, and deeply bonded to her humans. Mealtime is her favorite event of the day, and wet food will earn you instant approval. Add in her absolute favorite—luxurious butt scratches—and you’ll see just how much affection this “spicy girl” has to give.

Home Needs:

Pepper is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. She does not enjoy sharing her space with other cats or dogs and prefers to have her humans all to herself. In a calm, predictable environment, Pepper blossoms into a loving companion who thrives on routine, respect, and mutual trust.

She would do best with adopters who understand cat body language and appreciate a strong, independent personality paired with deep human affection. Give Pepper patience, consistency, and plenty of her favorite snacks and scratches, and she’ll reward you with loyalty, personality, and a one-of-a-kind bond.

Honey

Age: ~3+ years Sex: Spayed Female

Domestic Long Hair Tabby

About:
Honey is a tiny queen with a big personality. Once a fierce feral mom, she broke into our rescue through a window screen to reunite with her kittens — and later gave birth to another litter while still nursing the first. Every one of her babies has found a home, and now it’s Honey’s turn.

She’s affectionate, vocal, and full of sass. Honey loves pets and attention on her terms, chirping and flopping dramatically to make her point — but prefers not to be picked up. She’s happiest as the only pet, ruling her domain with all the confidence of a retired queen.

Home Needs:
Honey must be the only cat (and no dogs, please). She thrives in a calm, cozy space with sunny windows, soft blankets, and a devoted human who appreciates her independence.

Home Needs:

Lennon thrives best with Ozzy nearby, as Ozzy’s fearless and social nature encourages Lennon to explore, trust, and show off his own playful personality. Together, they’re inseparable—a team that balances adventure and calm, courage and comfort.

Short Hair Tabby (lighter with white chest patch) Bonded with: Tom

About:
Jerry is the outgoing, chatty half of this bonded duo—a true entertainer with a flair for cuddles. Unlike his quieter brother Tom, Jerry doesn’t mind being picked up—he enjoys a little human attention on his terms.

Home Needs:

Selective with other cats, he’d be happiest with Tom as his only feline companion, though calm, senior kitties might be okay too. Jerry thrives in a peaceful home where he can strut his stuff and soak up affection. Jerry and his brother Tom are inseparable — they play, nap, and chase catnip toys side by side. Racer

Age: 6 Months Sex: Neutered Male

Domestic Long Hair Tabby

About:

Racer may sound speedy, but this fluffy boy is more about gentle connections than high-speed antics. At just 6 months old, this long-haired sweetheart is learning how to communicate with the world—often using his paws, soft nibbles, and gentle chewing to let you know he’s excited, curious, or wants attention. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves being petted, soaking up every bit of love you’re willing to give.

Shy at first, Racer prefers to take his time getting to know new people and new spaces. He’s currently working on feeling more comfortable being held and does best with patient humans who let him set the pace.

Racer is very cat-friendly and would enjoy having feline companions to help him feel confident and safe. He’s not a fan of big dogs, so a dog-free or calm, small-dog household would suit him best. A gentle, understanding home that appreciates his communication style and celebrates his progress will help Racer continue to blossom.

With patience, consistency, and lots of affection, Racer will reward his future family with devotion, fluff, and a heart full of love.
